My Big Show

Well friends, I'm famous! Mommy took me to school early in the morning three different times to practice for a "big show" and we finally did the last two on Thursday morning. I've been so tired I haven't been able to write until today (we got to sleep in--finally!)

I starred as Toto in the Honor Choir's show "Music and the Movies" at Mommy's school where she did her student teaching. Everybody loved me! I had to practice real hard to keep my balance in the basket, but I figured out that if I just keep looking at Mommy, she would help me if I got scared. Most of the time, she just signaled for me to sit, but it somehow made the basket stop moving, so I guess she knows more than I thought!

Anyway, the girl that was holding me did a solo, and the first time I heard her sing, my ears perked up and all I could do was stare up at her! She has such a pretty voice, and Mommy said she's only 11 years old! I'm almost 7, so maybe I could sing like her when I get a little older. We did the whole show twice in a row, so I was tired by the end.

After the shows were over, Mommy and I and her teacher went up and down the halls of the school and everyone wanted to pet me! I met the principal, the secretary, and lots of nice teachers and kids. My little tail was wiggling like crazy! The kids were so neat, and I loved how they all seemed friendly and wanted to play. (I even got to give some of them nose kisses when Mommy wasn't looking!)

I had such a great time! When Mommy brought me home, I went straight to my kennel and crashed! Being famous is exhausting!

Don't worry though, I'm back to my normal bouncy self today. My next challenge is learning how to go up and down the stairs outside without any help...

Puppy kisses,

Maestro

  1. Man, we took our Westie to get spayed yesterday. They kept her overnight. I can't wait to see her again! Even Licorice missed her, and that's saying something as much as she annoys him sometimes.

Also, she got her first grooming last Friday and she's so cute. If I had a digital camera (well, or fidgeted around with the old one we have and bought a transfer cable) I'd post some pictures somewhere.
