I desperately need a new planner...

...but I'm too picky to find one. I guess they have discontinued the one I had this past year (which was PERFECT) so now I'm having withdrawals. My planner officially becomes useless to me on Saturday, and after that I am facing an ambiguous void of a schedule...well, save for our trip to see Grampa, my trip to TCDA, and every weekend in August-October spent at The Promise.

I've been working hard outside this week. It turns out, we haven't been watering our front yard so when it started getting "crispy," the neighbor come over with some tips and we realized that the front "zone" had somehow been turned off completely. So now we're praying it revives itself (with enough water therapy) soon or we'll have to replace our sod AND our tree. =(
On a happy lawn and gardens note, I now have an official flower bed in the back yard--edged and all-- and the area with the bushes around the air conditioner will no longer need to be impossibly mowed once a week. I put down grass killer (ironic, since the other grass in the front needs grass reviver) and put up some cool cedar edging things we got at Lowe's (and then found them cheaper at Home Depot today. Rrrg.) and topped it all off with some of that color treated mulch. It looks great, I just hope I didn't cover up a sprinkler head in the process.....I suppose we'll find out soon enough!
Our anniversary is coming up next Tuesday...wow! It's hard to believe 2 years has already passed by! I know that's not much in the grand scheme of things, but I'm just having trouble comprehending that we won't really be newlyweds anymore. Crazy.

I'd better get back to work. Happy American Independence Day!!!!!!!! (oh, and please don't light yourself or anyone else on fire....)
