Well, I survived the first two softball games of my life! We lost the first game like, 12-0, but we came back on the second and won 8-2. Believe it or not, I hit the ball both times I was up to bat! (one of the times I got to walk) Wahoo! We have another game next week, so hopefully I don't get too sore from running and throwing (I was catcher, so I had to throw a LOT).
I'm gonna try and go back to work this week. We could use the extra money now that you-know-who is going to start paying off her college loans. So I plan to spend tomorrow applying at my old faithful Dillard's locations. I'm a little upset, cuz they pay $1 more per hour here than in A-town, but then again, there are FAR more customers--I'm sorry, "guests"-- in the metroplex than in the stupid Bible belt college town "out west." Since I have experience, I may be able to slide into a comission position... I'll let you know. Of course, I'm gonna try and work it out so I'm off on the same days as Bobby which they should be ok with since its M-W...they tend to like people who are willing to work weekends all the time.
No new news on the teaching job.
As far as looking for homes, we've set up a search site so we can narrow our options down and get updates as they come rolling in. I know (again) that we're not really in the market, but we need to start figuring out what we like and don't like through comparisons so it'll be easier when we ARE ready to buy. I will admit, 5 bedrooms is a bit much, so we'll probably stick to 4 just for the sake of space but I can't say I would complain if we found a 4 bedroom home with a "bonus" study.... I might have to teach flute lessons or something and it would be quite strange to teach in a room with a bed in it. Maybe we can luck out with a den in the entry-way or something. The options are endless, but at least we'll have something to work with.
I better get back to updating Bobby's GPS thing. Thanks for reading!
