So we finally caved in and made our first joint-financing purchase...
Tomorrow night between 8 and 11 we will receive our very first (and hopefully last) king sized bed. We've been sleeping on my full sized pillow top mattress & boxspring that I got for a combined christmas/birthday present in high school (yeah, I know I'm weird) which has been resting on my 60 year old antique bedframe that my grandparents slept in when my father was little. In hindsight, my parents told me to opt for the queen while we were shopping NINE YEARS AGO, but my grand plan didn't include a husband for another 3 years from NOW, so we can all see how that worked out. Regardless of my ignorance, the bed is WAY too small, and its time for a change.
So, we got a Sealy memory foam mattress (so no more springs for us!) with a 20 year warranty, boxspring, bed frame, and a tempurpedic pillow. The bed is "NASA Certified"--or at least the foam is--so any movement will "not transfer" but it still has the support and softness to keep us comfortable.
Ah, I can't wait to know what its like to sleep all night...AND have enough space to roll over and not risk falling out of bed.
Bobby said, as we walked out of the store, "Happy Anniversary honey!" to which I responded, "Happy next 20 years!"
Yay for living in the "long term" mindset. =)
