Well, its been a busy week! Maestro mysteriously got fleas and infested the whole apartment (Maggie never scratched though, and she's the one that goes outside, so this makes no sense to me) so we had to give flea baths and treat the apartment.
On Tuesday I had my second interview with a nearby school district. It went really well, and now I'm waiting to hear back from the principal (again). I'm hoping that she calls me by Tuesday so I won't have to start at Dillard's (I'm scheduled to start training on Tuesday at 5:30, and I would really prefer to just call them and say, "Oh, I'm so sorry for the inconvenience, but I've been offered another job so I won't be starting today. Thank you!" but we'll see... otherwise, I'll have to start and put in my 2 weeks after my first week. Lame.)
We had two more softball games on Wednesday. The first team forfeited and the second game we lost (but we've all decided its because the Umpire wasn't very good).
Thursday, I had dinner with one of my high school friends and we had a nice visit. She was a vocal performance major and is getting her emergency certification this summer so she can teach (and SHE already has a job, so I'm starting to wonder if certification is really an issue or not.) We shared perspectives and ideas, and I enjoyed the visit... and the cheese enchiladas! =)
Friday was my TExES test (ugh) and it made me tired and cranky all day. There were a few questions on there that mentioned a word I've NEVER seen before... and of course that doesn't make me feel great. I'm sure I passed though. That evening my aunt and her two daughters hosted a jewelry party (kinda like Mary Kay, but in accessory form) so that took up most of my night.
Yesterday, I fogged the apartment and took the dogs to my parents' house for a visit... to my surprise, some family friends were coming over to celebrate a birthday so they brought their dog too! The dogs got some great play time in, and when we left, they slept all the way home. I had to open up the apartment though, so we ended up going to Rebecca's to borrow her yard for an hour. The dogs had another good visit with Cassie, so they were pretty good last night when Bobby got home.
Today, Maestro is going to PetSmart for a grooming and I'm doing laundry and cleaning the house. As a side note, you'd think with how often I clean this place, it wouldn't be messy... I'm gonna have to figure out what the deal is with this before school starts. Today is Bobby's last day under his 1st year probationary period! As of this evening, he'll be an officially official officer! Yay!
