Its hard to believe, but we’re going to be homeowners in just 4 days! We did our walk-through on Wednesday and had about 25 things on our list of major fixes, and of course, we put blue polka dots all over the walls and floors for the cosmetic fixes. We’re scheduled to do our second walk on Thursday morning, and close on Thursday afternoon! The bank said the appraiser was “hopefully” going to come on Friday, so Bobby and I are anxious to hear what he/she thinks the house is worth... hopefully more than we’re paying!!!
We went shopping for refrigerators this week, and realized again that we have good taste... the one we’re looking at is regular priced $2300! Needless to say, that’s out of our budget and we’re keeping our eyes on the sales. (FYI: Lowes will price match PLUS 10% off--we’ve been all over the place, and it seems they have the best set-up)
The dogs are getting more and more nervous... it seems most days that Maestro thinks we’re going to pack all of our stuff and leave him here! Once we get the keys to the house, we’ll acclimate the dogs before we move. Maggie did just fine the last time we moved, and Maestro was too young to care, but I don’t want them marking or being territorial in the new place. I think they’ll LOVE having a whole yard to themselves....once they realize what it is and that its theirs. haha
If you have time on your hands and access to the internet, we’re in need of some good deals on things like lawn mowers, ladders, water hoses, blinds, and ceiling fans. We just don’t have time to sit and search, but if you find yourselves bored on the ‘net, we’d appreciate you putting your hunting skills to work. =) You can comment here, or email us the links and info. I’d better get back to packing. You’d think we would be done by now, but we’re on box 97 and there’s still a lot of things left out. One more weekend...and then the movers come!!! (Feb. 2nd is our official move-in date)
